Favorite Theory:

Principle of Maximum Congestion: People will always stop to talk in doorways, elevator doors, or other locations that are selected to maximize traffic congestion.

My Brilliant Discoveries:

Why it becomes dark at night:

	I noticed several years ago that there are large metal poles along the streets, and that in the evening when they are turned on, light collects at the tops of these poles and the sky becomes dark.
	In the morning when they are turned off, there is light scattered across the sky.

Why it becomes hot in the summer:

	I noticed several years ago that in the late spring people start turning on machines (often placed in windows) that blow hot air outside.
	These machines are particularly active on excessively warm days.
	In the early fall, when they discontinue using these machines, the weather cools down.
